I stopped painting my nails for a long time while I was bartending just because it was impossible to keep them from chipping. It began to be a waste of time for someone like me. I sometimes got acrylics on, but the amount of damage that does to your nails is horrendous. Not to mention I had to spend 50+ dollars every 2 weeks to get them filled. Not worth it in my opinion. So I began to research my options on Amazon.
I came across this LED nail lamp and started to read review after review. It got thousands of amazing reviews and pictures showing just how amazing it worked. I swear it looked like they got them professionally done at a nail salon.
I had ordered the lamp along with a base coat, top coat, matte coat, and several different colors. In total, it cost me around $40 for everything. This has been one of my most used, favorite purchases from Amazon. I sometimes go as much as 3 weeks without redoing them 😱 Now I actually get excited about having to paint them because I know they’re not going to chip in 6 hours. I stumbled upon the Beetles Gel Polish and have loved every single one I got. Highly recommend! They don’t have the exact same LED lamp that I got anymore, but there are so many other great options!

I absolutely love that brand of gel polish! I have so many different brands I bring them to the nail place when I get my pedicure and fill. They never chip! Gel polish is definitely the way to go!!

Omg…. your nail colour is to die for. I love love love it. I don’t wear nail polish either, due partly to (lack of) maintenance. But this makes me want to try again. ;)) Great tip with the lamp!

Hi Jaimie,
I keep umming and ahhing over whether to get a gel kit for home use. Before lockdown I got my nails done every 2/3 weeks at the salon at £25.00 + £2.00 tip each time. I would like to try a kit, but I would feel really disloyal to my mail tech, jade, who I’ve built up a good friendship with. Dilemma! 🤔

Oooo that’s a tough call! But at the end of the day you have to do what’s best for you! You can still go in from time to time to support Jade, but this could save you money and a trip to the nail salon! I know the feeling, I had to leave my nail guy who I loved, but I really needed to start managing my money better☹️

LED Lamps are a wonderful investment. I purchased one from amazon back in 2019 and have never regretted it. I’ve been doing my own nails ever since and people always think it was professionally done. I’m so glad you’re enjoying yours!
