Fresh Melon Cocktail, Anyone?

Okay, this one is dangerous. No, like seriously it’s so good that my dad yelled at me the next day for making them for him last year. It creeps up on you because you don’t realize how quickly you’re pounding them back😂 So, pace yourself when drinking these bad boys.

Not only is there nothing, but fresh ingredients in them (come on, you know me) but they’re so flavorful with the perfect amount of sweetness. I have been so excited to share this watermelon cocktail with you guys. This was so popular at my restaurant, that people who didn’t drink would order a mocktail version. It is by far, the most ordered drink in the summer. I know, it’s not summer yet, but the warm(ish) weather in the forecast is making me excited. You can add simple syrup, but the watermelon is sweet enough for me. Enjoy my lovelies!

  • 2oz Tequila
  • 3oz Watermelon Puree
  • 1/2 Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 Simple Syrup (Optional)
  • Garnish with rosemary & lemon wheel
  • First, you need to puree the fresh melon in a blender.
  • Add tequila, watermelon puree, lemon juice, simple syrup (if used) to a shaker and shake.
  • Strain into a salt-rimmed (or no salt) glass with ice.
  • Garnish with a stick of rosemary and lemon wheel.

It’s originally made with watermelon, but I understand some of my friends here aren’t a fan so I made it with cantaloupe as well for you lovelies😘 You can also add a splash of club soda on top. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t!

  5. Awesome ideas, Jaimie! They look spectacular even now, in late winter. I only imagine their appeal amidst August’s swelter. In fact, thanks to you, my screen now has fingerprints all over it, due to me reaching for a drink. Yeah, thanks for that too.

    Oh, tip of the hat as well for providing mocktail instructions. Despite enjoying beer and the occasional glass (or two) of wine, the hard stuff doesn’t appeal. To me, it all tastes like Robitussin – no offense to your vocation.

    Yet, you thought of all your readers, and you provided different options. Look at you, making sure all your guests are happy.

    I raise a glass to you…darn! That stupid screen again!
