Happy Monday lovelies! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend🥰 And Happy National Women’s Day to all my fellow women out there! I figured I’d start the week off by sharing a little bit about myself. I want you guys to get to know me better and better each day as I want to get to know all of you! Wanna know what some of my favorite things are? I wanna know what yours are and if you have any similar ones to mine! These are super random, but the first things that came to my mind when I thought “favorite”.💗
Horror Movies👻
Alex now rolls his eyes when he asks what movie I wanna watch and I say “horror” every time. I love to be scared! I can’t explain it, but I think it’s from watching so many of them when I was a kid.
Murder Shows🔪
Next to my love for horror movies is my love for the ID Channel. Honestly, watching all these shows made me become so much more aware of my surroundings. I was always one to lock the door, windows, car, etc., but watching these shows exacerbated that to where I’m now double and triple checking. Some of my favorites are “Evil Lives Here”, “Your Worst Nightmare” “Fear Thy Neighbor”, “Obsession”, “Til Death Do Us Part”, “Who the (Bleep) Did I Marry?”. I promise I’m not a psychopath😅
Hoodies👕
My favorite thing to wear are hoodies. I honestly hate the summer because it’s too hot for them. Nothing better or cozier than a nice, big, over-sized hoodie!
Back Scratches😌
This is a weird one, but I honestly got the idea to write this blog last night while my boyfriend was scratching my back. In my head I was thinking, “wow I think back scratches are one of my favorite things in the world”. I’d take a nice scratch over a back rub any day! (Okay weirdo)
The Florida Keys🌴
My favorite place! My dad moved here with his girlfriend about 5 years ago and it’s beautiful. It’s literally like living in paradise and being on vacation everyday. If you like to drink, eat seafood, and paddle board, you’ll love it just as much as I do. Super low key, very minimal amount of people and it’s 2 hours from Key West which is party central! (FYI my dad is my rock)
Sour Candy🍬
This should really be written in caps. I have a sick obsession with sour candy to where I had to stop buying it cause I’d eat it everyday. I mean, candy in general, but more specific sour candy is my favorite.
Classic Rock🎸
I wouldn’t say this is the genre I listen to the most, but when I’m relaxing at home or chilling outside by the pool on a nice day, this is what I enjoy listening to. There’s a nostalgic factor to all these songs for me because of my parents growing up. I feel almost a sense of comfort and relaxation when I have it on.
Chapstick💄
I need chapstick all day, everyday because let’s be real, there’s nothing worse than chapped lips. It’s so uncomfortable. Applying it everyday has honestly made my lips softer too. The Laneige Lip Mask is A1 (in sweet candy of course😉).
Diet Orange Soda🥤
Diet soda is my jam. Diet ORANGE soda is my one true love. Do I even need to get into why I love this one so much?
Pickles🥒
This one is either you love it or hate it just like olives. There’s no in between. I’ve had an obsession with pickles since my dad introduced me to them when I was a small child. He and I would get the big jar and finish them on a friday night at his house. I’ve upgraded from the Vlasic since then. If you can find Grillo’s Pickles, you’ll never go back. Worth the extra money.
Rain/Snow🌨
This is another thing that is super therapeutic to me. I always found comfort in rain and snow as long as I don’t have to go anywhere in it. Always loved it for as long as I can remember.
Bloody Mary’s🍅
Another hit or miss. You either love or you hate. I thought they were so gross when my parents used to drink them when I was little. Like, “ew, you enjoy drinking pureed tomatoes?” I put a ton of ingredients in mine when I make them so it’s super seasoned. Absolutely delicious. Don’t knock em till you try em friends!
Crabs🦀
This is probably my favorite food. If not favorite food, favorite seafood hands down. Growing up, my dad had a boat and would take us fishing and crabbing all the time. My dad would always catch dozens and we’d have a feast. So anything with crab in it, I’m in!
Now that you know some of my favorite things, I wanna know some of yours! Can you relate to any of mine? What are some weird ones you like? Let me know in the comments lovelies💗
Let’s Be Friends🥰
Horror movies! Excellent! Good to meet a fellow horror fan. I’m currently wearing a hoodie! It’s my clothing of choice in the colder temps. I’ve got chapstick in my pocket right now and a playlist of over 400 classic rock songs. I knew we connected for a reason, haha. Happy Women’s Day btw. 😁🙏

I love crime TV and novels. I find they take me to places I’ve never been. Like the show Broadchurch in England or CBC Gems Burden of Truth in small town Manitoba. Currently reading the Jack Reacher series. He goes all over the United States and Europe, introducing me to the highs and lows of a city.

I just looked both of those shows up and they definitely look like something I’d be interested in checking out! Thanks Larry!🤗

Chapstick, eh, Jaimie? Have you ever tried Burt’s Bees? My absolute go-to now, after a youth misspent under Blistex’s spell.
As for rain and snow, oh yeah! Especially the “snow” part. Same as you – same as flake-heads everywhere, I suspect – just keep it off the roads and it’s awesome. This may change when I’m old, but right now I love the seasons. If I’m denied, then full-on tropical (or at least tropical-ish), such as in Miami or in Honolulu, is a must.
Now crabs, once again, we agree. My ranking is…crabs, first place, then all other shellfish, tied for second! Something you’ll notice soon enough if you keep visiting the blog.
Shameless plug for sure, but I gotta grow that audience. Alright, hijacking over, and back to your fascinating splendor!
Now, about that sour candy…

Yes! Love me some Burt’s bees. I used to hate Blistex but that has become one of my favorite chapsticks. Very moisturizing and effective. I’m glad we have so many similarities! Especially the crab one.. 😏 I feel like that is pretty rare to find someone that likes crabs as much as I do! Thank you for that lovely reply I really enjoyed reading it💗

Hey, what can I say, Jaimie? It’s geography.
After the Susquehanna flows south past our state capital it widens, and not far from where it crosses the Maryland line, it becomes the Chesapeake Bay. Home to some of the most amazing crabs in the world. That’s quite a claim, though I defy you to find a shellfish its superior. Dungeness makes a solid effort, but it just misses the mark.
All this crab-talk reminds me of another favorite, Old Bay!

Omg and I thought I was the only back-scratching enjoyer. It feels great when it’s less pressure though, as in not the typical scratching pressure. Anyway, love this post. Thanks for sharing!
